Good morning and a Happy Canada Day! Hope y'all are having a super long weekend.
It's been a while since we sent out a blog, been busy with putting in the garden (waaaay late), and picking up cows. That's right, Burns Lake Solar is getting into cows. Looking forward to having our own home-grown beef in a couple of years. So Canada Day this year finds us upgrading our fences to keep cows in! Thankful for the beautiful working weather this weekend.
On a more "solar" note, for those of you who are considering grid-tie BC Hydro has announced they are coming out with some rebates for solar panels and batteries this month. Looks like rebates will be 50% of cost, including labour and materials, up to a maximum of $5,000. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it will help to shorten up that loong Return of Investment time a bit! Stay tuned, more details are supposed to be coming out later this month.
